E. García - La silla verde XL (No reserve)

"The Green Chair" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work depicts a domestic interior built from an intense combination of color and geometry. In the center of the composition, a green chair with a red seat becomes the absolute protagonist, placed in front of a crimson wall and on a floor made of small multicolored tiles. The perspective of the space, slightly altered, guides the eye toward the chair and toward the various architectural openings. A green door ajar and two windows introduce small views of the exterior, creating an interesting dialogue between interior and landscape. Reds, greens, yellows, blues and oranges are distributed through large color fields and strong complementary contrasts. The simplification of forms, the defined contours and the expressive use of an intense palette show affinities with Fauvism and Post-Impressionism, as well as echoes of Henri Matisse’s interior painting and David Hockney’s chromatic exploration, understood as visual references rather than attribution. A everyday scene transformed by color into an energetic and contemporary composition. Especially attractive for collectors interested in figurative painting, interiors, architecture, Fauvism, Post-Impressionism, contemporary art and works with strong chromatic presence.
