"La pianista" is a painting measuring 100 × 70 cm by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work depicts a woman seated in front of a piano, with her back to the viewer, in an interior that is visually opened toward the city. The large central window frames a façade of intense coral color with black balconies, while floral-patterned curtains wrap around the scene and connect the domestic space with the urban landscape. The figure, dressed in a striking orange dress printed with red flowers, occupies the center of the composition. To her right, the deep black of the piano introduces a strong contrast and guides the gaze toward the keyboard. Blues, greens, reds, and oranges build a luminous and expressive palette, based on broad color relationships. The brushwork is loose and visible, with simplified shapes and a marked attention to the rhythm of the patterns. The flowers on the dress dialogue with those of the curtains, while the repetition of windows and balconies provides a geometric structure to the background. The free handling of color and the integration between figure, interior, and ornamentation show echoes of Fauvism and Henri Matisse. More than focusing solely on the act of playing, the scene conveys a moment of pause and intimacy. The woman seems suspended between the piano and the window, between the music and the exterior city. "La pianista" thus turns a domestic scene into a serene, colorful, and evocative composition. Authencity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping.
