E. García - Interior azul XL

INTERIOR AZUL is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work presents an interior dominated by a rich range of blues, conceived as a reading and resting space that opens toward a bright landscape. The scene blends architecture, furniture, books, vegetation, and natural light into a serene, sophisticated composition with a strong chromatic presence. The arrangement of the painting starts from a large open blue door that connects the interior with a terrace or exterior bathed in light. In the foreground, a large potted plant, a dark blue armchair, a lamp, and a small orange pouf create an intimate and habitable ambience. On the right, a bookshelf filled with books introduces rhythm, verticality, and an intellectual dimension to the whole, reinforcing the idea of a domestic refuge. The chromatic palette is organized mainly through intense blues and turquoises, balanced with oranges, earth tones, whites, and small green accents. Ernest García uses the contrast between cool and warm colors to build depth and atmosphere. The orange pouf and the large foreground pot act as luminous counterpoints to the blue dominance, while the exterior light introduces clarity in the center of the composition. The brushwork is visible, broad, and expressive, with a formal simplification that keeps the image clear and impactful. The tree foliage is built with dark, gestural blotches, while the armchair, the door, and the library present a more geometric structure. This combination of organic masses and architecture creates a dynamic balance very characteristic of contemporary figurative painting. The work maintains affinities with Fauvism and the modern tradition of colorful interiors. Echoes of Henri Matisse can be found in the emotional use of color, in the interior opening toward the exterior, and in the integration of decorative elements, as well as a sensitivity close to Raoul Dufy in the lightness with which space and light are resolved. These references function as visual affinities within a contemporary pictorial language of its own. INTERIOR AZUL conveys a sense of calm, reading, and retreat. The absence of human figures does not make the space feel empty; on the contrary, the books, the armchair, the lamp, and the open door suggest a recent presence and render the scene a lived-in place. The result is a welcoming painting that blends intimacy, architecture, and landscape. INTERIOR AZUL will be especially attractive to collectors interested in contemporary figurative painting, interiors with libraries, reading spaces, open doors, plants, Fauvist painting, Henri Matisse, Raoul Dufy, modern colorism, and Spanish contemporary art. Its balance between chromatic intensity, domestic atmosphere, and spatial depth gives it notable appeal for collection and auction. Autenticidad y Envío: The work is offered directly by E.
