Droog Design - Richard Hutten - Jar - Porcelain - Handle With Care Teapot

Richard Hutten Handle with Care Teapot 2014 Droog Design. Porcelain with red plastic handle. Dimensions 21,5 × 20,4 × 13 cm Max 0,7/0.8 Liter. New! Unused Limited edition. Only 1000 are even produced. Within the New Originals project, Hutten took a classic Chinese teapot and gave it a bold, modern twist. The original was cast iron, but Hutten swapped it for sleek porcelain, making it lighter and fresher. Instead of the usual delicate curve of the handle, Richard Hutten borrowed the grip from a good vintage clothes iron. In excellent unused condition, out of production and a hard find. Richard Hutten is one of The Netherlands best known designers alongside Studio Job, Marcel Wanders, Kiki Van Eijk, Irma Boom, Sabine Marcelis, Hella Jongerius, Bertjan Pot, Maarten Baas, Rem Koolhaas and Wiel Arets etc The Dutch designer was barely 39 and has already gained an incredable reputation in the international design world working for a impressive list of clients His impressive list of clients such as Gispen, Droog, Moooi, Ikea, Offecct, Artifort, Kvadrat, Moroso, Rabobank, I+I Milano, DSM, Skultuna as well as Gemeentemuseum The Hague, OMA/Rem Koolhaas, MVRDV, Centraal Museum Utrecht, Karl Lagerveld and HRH Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands This item could be interesting for collectors of designs from Sottsass, Hay, IKEA, HKliving, Vitra, Seletti, Eames, Ferm, Newson, Corbusier, Prouve, Colombo etc. Droog Design, in 1993 founded by Gijs Bakker and Renny Ramakers, is a joint Dutch collective that is conceptual, humorous and non-nonsense in design, which is based on materials. Key designers from Droog are Marcel Wanders, Hella Jongerius, Tejo Remy, Richard Hutten, Jurgen Bey, Chris Kabel, Henk Stallinga, Piet Hein Eek, Aldo Bakker and Joris Laarman Shipped well packed with insurance and tracking. # Japa
