Title: La Distillerie Générale — Cognac Fins Bois 2008 — 9 Years — Single Cask No. 33 315 — 35 cl — 50% Description: Vintage 2008 Fins Bois Cognac, a single cask bottling from La Distillerie Générale, the range of exceptional spirits selected by the cellar masters of the greatest houses. This eau-de-vie was distilled at the Gallienne distillery in Javrezac and selected by Christophe Valtaud, Cellar Master of Cognac Martell. Matured in a new fine-grained oak barrel, it was decanted in Eauze on 1 December 2017. Specifications: Cognac Fins Bois Contrôlée appellation 2008 vintage — 9 years old Single cask No. 33 315 — limited to 1,032 bottles Not cold-filtered 50% ABV — 35 cl Selected by Christophe Valtaud (Martell Cellar Master) Woven embroidered label, cork stopper engraved with the monogram Factory-sealed bottle (capsule intact) No gift box Tasting notes (producer): golden yellow colour. Expressive nose opening on brioche pastry, vanilla, honey and brown sugar, lifted by fine spices and a hint of coconut. On the palate, a fruity balance, rounded oak, and vanilla and spice notes intertwined with linden and chamomile, with remarkably subtle tannins. Out of stock at retail. Bottle from a private collection, stored away from light, upright.
