Magnificent and authentic 1925–1930 era hollow-purse ashtray in regule cast with an antique patina, depicting the Egyptian goddess Isis kneeling, with wings majestically spread. The circular base serves as a receptacle (ashtray or catchall) and stands out with a remarkable narrative décor: a bas-relief frieze depicting soldiers or ancient warriors. These stylized figures are armed with spears and carry round shields, evoking fighters of classical antiquity (Greek or Roman). This bold and eclectic blend between the central Egyptian figure of Isis and these spear-wielding warrior motifs is a superb testament to the creative freedom of early 20th-century founders, who drew widely on the entire imagination of the Mediterranean basin. This piece fully aligns with the Egyptomania movement and the revival of ancient arts, a major trend rekindled at the time by the famous discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. Dimensions: 12.5 cm × 12 cm × 11.5 cm
