A pair of two rare Chinese porcelain export strainer plates / pouring plates – Blue and white – China – Qianlong period (18th century) Description: A very rare and unusual pair of antique Chinese export porcelain strainer plates (pouring plates) from the 18th century (Qianlong period, ca. 1740–1780). The plates feature a scalloped edge and are richly hand-painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a classic peony and floral motif, surrounded by an elegant lattice border. The central area contains the original hand-pierced drainage holes. Origin: China (Export to Europe) Dating: Qing dynasty, Qianlong period (18th century) Material: Porcelain Technique: Hand-painted underglaze blue Quantity: 2 pieces (a pair) Condition: In very good antique condition. Minor and normal signs of age and kiln flaws consistent with the 18th century. A scarce and high-quality pair for the serious collector of Chinese porcelain.
