All auctions / Carpets, Rugs & Textile / Designer Carpet - Loribaft - New - Rug - 193 cm - 126 cm
This extraordinary handwoven designer rug in Loribaft design combines traditional, nomad-inspired motifs with a modern and harmonious color palette. The varied design, made up of numerous small ornaments and horizontally arranged pattern fields, makes the rug a particularly decorative single piece. Characteristic is the field-like composition with stylized trees, plants, animals and geometric symbols. Differently designed color bands alternate, giving the surface a lively, almost narrative effect. The central pattern field is framed by generous, calmer areas as well as richly ornamented border sections. Color-wise the rug is exceptionally versatile. Terracotta, rust red, warm brown and ochre form the base and are complemented by turquoise, blue, green, cream and gray. The subdued tones create a harmonious overall image despite the multitude of motifs. Details Art: Hand-knotted designer rug Design: Loribaft Dimensions: approx. 193 × 126 cm Origin: Pakistan Production: Hand-knotted Condition: New Pattern: Field design with geometric, floral and stylized animal motifs Colors: Terracotta, Rust red, Ochre, Brown, Turquoise, Blue, Green, Gray and Cream Style: Oriental, Ethno, Nomad style, Boho, Modern Classic Format: Rectangular With its dimensions of 193 × 126 cm the rug is excellent for living rooms, bedrooms, study, guest rooms or entry area. Also in front of a sofa or under a smaller coffee table the detailed pattern comes into its own particularly well. The numerous stylized motifs give the rug the nomadic and artisanal character typical of Loribaft-inspired designs. At the same time the calmer gray areas provide a modern contrast and prevent the ornament-rich design from becoming too dominant. As a handknotted piece the rug may show slight deviations in shape, drawing and texture. Such irregularities are characteristic of handmade rugs and underline their individual character. A decorative hand-knotted designer rug in Loribaft design – colorful, detailed and a successful fusion of traditional ornamentation and modern home aesthetics. 226891
