DENMARK. The King's Accession and The Westpfalian Peace Silver Medal, 1649. Frederik III. NGC MS-61. Galster-80; JS-256; Bruun-15274. Dimensions: 58x48 mm. Weight: 60 gms. By Sebastian Dadler (SD). Scarce and coveted medal by the famed 17th century medalist. The obverse lightly cleaned - more than a century ago - and repatinated, the reverse with original, lustrous surfaces and a dusty, slightly multicolor hue. Sebastian Dadler was arguably one of the best medalists of his time. Sadly, this was the only one he made for the Danish court. Estimate: €3,000 - €4,000. Provenance: From the L.E. Bruun Collection. Buyers which are non-VAT registered entities or individuals who take delivery of lots within EU countries subject to margin scheme taxation will be invoiced a VAT charge and a Buyer’s Premium for a total of 27.5% based upon the total amount of the hammer.
