DENMARK. Copenhagen Naval Dockyard Restrike Silver Medal, 1736. Christian VI. NGC MS-61. Galster-373; JS-730; Bruun-15616. Diameter: 74 mm. Weight: 186 gms. By Johann Carl Hedlinger (IC HEDLINGER). Practically as-struck, this rare and hefty silver medal glows with soft luster in the recesses; a few spots on the reverse is noted but takes little away from the monumentality of this exemplar. Christian VI (1730-46) fortified the Danish navy and modernized the dockyards. A number of impressive medals were issued at the time, commemorating that. Estimate: €2,000 - €3,000.
