Delicate Platinum Ring with a Diamond in the Old Cut and Brilliant-Cut

This ring from our workshop is a classic entourage ring. This ring style, in which a larger center stone is surrounded by diamonds, is named after the French word “entourage,” meaning “companions” or “entourage.” Entourage rings are one of the classic designs in the history of jewelry. They have appeared throughout the centuries, always adapted to the fashion of the time. In this ring from our workshop, an unusual antique diamond forms the centerpiece of the design. The oval-cut antique gemstone weighs 0.48 carats and was cut in the second half of the 19th century. Fourteen vintage brilliant-cut diamonds line the center stone, surrounding it with a festive sparkle. Two additional diamonds adorn the ring shoulders. In total, these brilliant-cut diamonds add up to an additional 0.25 carats. All gemstones are set in cool, lustrous platinum. We designed the ring for maximum comfort. Thanks to its flat design and gemstone settings without any protruding prongs, the ring can be worn comfortably every day. The ring shanks are adorned on the sides with delicate ornamentation inspired by designs from around 1890; all elements are kept as fine and delicate as possible to draw the eye entirely to the beauty of the gemstones. The ring was crafted entirely for us in Germany, in workshops in Pforzheim, Idar-Oberstein, and here in Berlin. The platinum and brilliant-cut diamonds come from vintage pieces of jewellery, while the old-cut diamond comes from an antique brooch.
