Defender - Newel Hunter

Defender by Newel Hunter Painting 16.0 x 20.0 :: Defender is a dynamic composition of bold sweeping brushstrokes in a vivid energetic palette dominated by reds blues and touches of yellow and green. The paint is applied in a textured almost sculptural manner that emphasizes movement and depth. The layering effect created by various intersecting lines and crosshatched patterns adds complexity and a sense of rhythm to the piece. The circular swirls in the background intertwine fluidly with the vibrant angular strokes generating a tension between order and chaos that stimulates visual interest. This piece pulsates with energy and spontaneity evoking a visceral response through its vigorous application of color and form.
