Decorative bell - Period bells

This monastery or dinner bell with its patinated bronze wall bracket features a distinctive medieval or Gothic revival style. The wall mount is shaped like a stylized dragon or mythical creature whose open mouth acts as a hook to hang the bell, while the fixing plate is adorned with decorative scrolls. The bell itself includes a raised cartouche displaying the engraved date of 1824 on one side and a circular stamped medallion depicting a crowned heraldic bird surrounded by a floral border on the other side. The set is completed by a twisted metallic thread tassel that serves as a pull cord for the internal clapper. The wall bracket measures 23 cm in height by 11 cm in width, while the bell has an individual height of 13 cm and a bottom diameter of 11,5 cm. The individual and total weight of this piece is 1000 g. This item bears no visible foundry signature apart from the rich decorative markings and historical date molded into the material. The piece remains in very good overall condition, showing a beautiful homogeneous patina from use and a fully functional mechanism with its original clapper. Shipping is exclusively reserved for mainland European Union member countries, and no delivery can be guaranteed to island destinations or overseas territories.
