Blown glass and wrought iron wine decanter with candle and glass – 1960s A piece capable of turning wine service into a small ritual. This scenographic decanter, attributed to the 1960s, combines the transparency of blown glass with a wrought iron structure, worked with swirls and grapevine leaves. The glass section presents delicate motifs inspired by grapes and vines. Beside the decanter, a candle holder completes the composition and recalls the use of light to observe the wine; at the base lies a small glass. Each element contributes to the charm of the whole, as much a service accessory as a piece to display in a showroom, on a bar cart, or in a wine shop. The object evokes the European tradition of wine aerators and decanters from the mid-20th century. Its French origin is possible, but not documented, and is suggested as a hypothesis.
