ew Series – Confluence David Law Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary images A multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of imagery in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to shop window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Intrigued by the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relation to illusion and projection. New Series – Confluence Confluence explores the meeting of two bodies in a space where forms merge with light. Masculine and feminine silhouettes approach, intertwine and respond to each other in scenes of backlighting and deep shadows. Faces disappear to give way to lines, curves and physical presence. An evocation of intimacy, attraction and encounter. Edition & Production Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated rear mount. Printed on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability, and a modern, contemporary rendering. Career Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the dedicated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual work, he develops a writer-artist-musician career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book, and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the group FRENZY.
