Daum - Sculpture

A beautiful and rare Daum France table clock, model 'Aztec', rendered in transparent crystal, pate de verre and brass. Produced circa 1985-1990 The top features two finely detailed mythological figures (a man blowing a horn and a woman with a small harp) executed in pate de verre with vivid ocean blue and turquoise/green hues, mounted on a gilded brass base. The horn is also made of brass. Under the brass base sits an electric clock positioned in cyan-colored pate de verre that lightens toward the bottom. The base finally consists of clear, transparent crystal. The piece is signed with the typical 'Daum France' engraving in the transparent crystal, and also bears the original sticker. Although made in the late 20th century (postmodernism), the design is a clear homage to the graceful Art Deco and mythological style. The table clock is in perfect condition. Height 21 cm Width 19 cm Depth 13 cm Weight 3.89 kg Will be very well packed and shipped safely.
