Daum - Centrepiece - Crystal - Monumental centre 51.5 cm

DAUM – Monumental Centerpiece Clear crystal, blown and hot-worked France, 20th century. A heavy, outsized object for shipment. Exceptional monumental crystal centerpiece, crafted by the prestigious Daum house, emblem of French glassmaking know-how and mastery of crystal work in the 20th century. This piece stands out for its spectacular dimensions — 51.5 cm long, 20 cm wide and 14 cm high — giving it a bold sculptural presence and immediate visual impact. Its broadly spread form, with stretched and undulating edges, evokes a fluid, organic motion, almost winged, characteristic of the house's monumental creations. The crystal, perfectly transparent and of great purity, is worked with remarkable virtuosity: folds, ribs and tensions of material structure the piece and catch the light, creating subtle plays of reflections and depth. The central base, denser and more architectural, provides perfect balance while accentuating the dynamic momentum of the whole. Signed Daum, this centerpiece sits at the boundary between decorative object and true crystal sculpture. In terms of its size and elegance, it is suited for a large reception table, a central console, or gallery display. Condition: excellent state of conservation, with no chips or cracks, showing only very light traces compatible with age and handling. Spectacular and rare work, ideal for Daum collectors, lovers of monumental crystal pieces, or interiors seeking a strong, luminous and architectural creation. There are micro-scratches on the piece but nothing that would alter its decorative value. The images are part of the description. Shipping to a relay point if possible.
