Exceptionally complete 19th‑century English 'tailboard' / 'field' Dallmeyer camera made of mahogany and brass. The camera is fitted with an ivory/celluloid factory plate marked with "J.H. Dallmeyer, Optician, London". The device is equipped with a highly sought-after brass lens: a J.H. Dallmeyer No 1a Rectilinear Patent London with serial number 43083, which dates the production of the lens exactly between 1884 and 1888. Very complete accessory set included: - 4 Original 'Book-form' wooden doubles equipped with beautiful brass fittings. - 4 wooden inlay/glas (reducing adapters) to use plates of different smaller formats in the cassettes. - Extra lens boards/panels, including the panel with the original brass lens flange.
