DAISY MAKEIG-JONES (ENGLISH, 1881-1945) 'ELVES IN A PINE TREE' FAIRYLAND LUSTRE PLAQUE, CIRCA 1925 Variant with two blue elves in the tree and sunset colours to the water. Mounted in lacquer black frame. Made by Wedgwood, with Portland Vase mark and painted pattern number 'Z5284' Pictorial; 26cm x 19cm Framed; 35.5cm x 28cm Condition Report: In really wonderful condition. The piece has had one very careful owner. There is a slight discolouration at the edge of the blue of the pictorial, a build up of light dirt to the surface, over the years. The pictorial is in beautiful condition, with vibrant glaze colours, a petrol-y iridescence and gilding strong/present. The work has been looked at under UV and shows no signs of restoration. The wooden frame with a few scratches and tiny knicks/losses to the black paint.
