Cutlery set for 12 (51) - Silverplated

Elegant and important vintage cutlery service complete for 12 people (51 pieces in total), Italian manufacture dating from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The service stands out for a refined Empire/Baroque style design, characterized by very fine raised decorations with volutes and foliate motifs along the edges of the handles. Each piece features a mirror-polished finish with a strong visual impact on the table. All pieces bear on the handle the stamp "ARG. 800", which certifies high-thickness silver plating achieved through electroplating on a solid metal base resistant to oxidation. The set is presented in its original rigid red-covered case (external dimensions about 60 x 36 cm), with an gold/orange satin-lined interior, specifically designed to protect the flatware from oxidation and keep it in perfect order. Contents of the lot (51 pieces): • 12 Large place forks • 12 Large place knives • 12 Large place spoons • 12 Coffee/Dessert spoons • 1 Large serving ladle • 1 Serving spoon • 1 Serving fork Condition of the item: The service is in excellent structural condition, complete in every part and shows no signs of deep wear or welds. As visible in the macro photographs, the cutlery presents the typical natural dark patina from surface oxidation due to exposure to air over time, which attests to the authenticity of the silver coating. The patina can be easily removed with a light polish or via classic electrochemical silverware washing, restoring the pieces to their original shine. The rigid case is intact and in good condition. Please carefully review the photo gallery, which constitutes an integral part of the description, to evaluate the details of the hallmarks, exact measurements, and the real condition of the lot.
