CRUSADER SILVER RING WITH CHRIST MONOGRAM

Ca. AD 1100 - 1300 . A silver ring with a broad hoop with raised edges supporting a large circular bezel with a shallow recessed field. The face is engraved with a stylised Christogram incorporating the letter X, with hatched and cross hatched sections and a central vertical foliate motif. The composition is enclosed by a narrow incised border.
