Set of light-weight, mouth-blown clear crystal tableware, hand-cut, comprising 12 champagne coupes, 12.5 cm high and 10 cm in diameter. These are antique pieces from brands among the finest ateliers of the great European crystal houses of the Belle Époque (circa 1880–1915), attributable to French manufactories such as Baccarat or Saint Louis. They feature an acid-etched decoration with garlands, leaves and ribbons, festoons, and pendant drops, typical of the Empire or Neoclassical style with a delicate botanical motif. It is not possible to determine the exact brand with certainty from the image alone, as many historic crystal and blown-glass makers did not place a visible mark at the center of the piece until about 1936; earlier pieces often bore only a paper label. Over use, washing, and the passage of decades (these pieces date back more than a century, circa 1880–1915), the label inevitably detached without leaving a trace. Val Saint Lambert (Belgium) or Saint-Louis (France): both manufactories produced crystal with this identical Louis XVI acid motif from the late 19th to early 20th century. The coupe features a classic tulip shape / flared goblet. The stem is slender, smooth and straight, connected to the base of the cup by a small solid-crystal ring/knob. A flat, circular base without decorations balances the refined elegance of the upper part.
