Beautiful framed Cobra artwork by Guillaume Corneille signed on the plate, created in homage to Charlie Parker: "April in Paris", 1951. Corneille discovered Jazz upon his arrival in Paris in 1951 in the capital's cabarets. With Hugo Claus, he conceived the idea of working around this music. Authorized edition limited to 90 copies from the original silkscreen "April in Paris" - Schana B Editions / Official Guillaume Corneille Archives - Stamp on the back of the image - Natural pigments on Belgian hemp paper. Numbered edition. Dry stamp of the editions We are selling here the numbered AO 39/90 copy - Off-centering of the image imagined by Corneille, suggesting the rhythm of Jazz. The painter created a total of 8 works in the series "April in Paris" in 1951. Dimensions with frame: 32.5 x 42.5 cm - Very good condition Guillaume Corneille was one of the founding members of the Cobra group with Karel Appel, Asger Jorn, Christian Dotremont, Constant, Jacques Doucet, and Alechinsky.
