Contemporary Amulet seal - .800 silver - 1850-1900 - Seal; seal stamp

Object: Antique signet seal (historical desk temple / wax seal) Era: Historicism / late Gründerzeit (c. 1888–1900) Origin: Germany Material & execution: • Handle: Solid, polished gemstone made of beautifully banded agate. The stone displays a fascinating, natural marbling of deep dark tones and light, linear contours. The handle is ergonomically faceted. • Setting & seal head: Made from genuine 800 silver (sterling). The cuff beneath the handle is artfully decorated with a period-typical, plastic relief ornament (foliage / floral elements). Punzierung / Stamp: The silver piece is triple and impeccably marked: 1. Fineness stamp “800” (guarantee of 800/1000 silver content). 2. Official German Reichsmark stamp (crescent moon for silver & imperial crown for the German Empire – introduced from 1888). 3. Mastermark “K I” (silversmith’s maker’s mark) in a rectangular cartouche. Condition & seal plate: • Seal matrix: Square shape, completely smooth / unengraved. The signet is in unused original condition and has never been personalized with initials or a coat of arms. It can thus be personalized by the buyer. • Overall condition: Excellent antique condition with a beautiful, authentic patina on the silver. The agate handle is firmly seated in its setting, with only a small nick at the end of the shaft. An exquisite display and collector’s piece for lovers of historical writing culture.
