The work is dedicated to the illustrious Venetian Riniero Zeni, Noble Knight and Procurator of Saint Mark. The Civil Senses of Count Maiolino Bisaccioni, They have been included as historical insights written in Italian, inspired and related to the period of wars, the military structure in ancient Greece and in the Roman Empire, with the lived experience in the Monarchies, of European noble Houses, as illustrated by the Author, Elaborated Mark of the Printer which has been impressed in the precious decorated frame.. Opera omnia, Printed in Venice in the year 1642 for Taddeo Pavoni With a treatise on military life that unites the narration of the Count and then the Ill.mo diplomat Maiolino Bisaccioni with two other fundamental historical texts: the Perfect Captain by Duke Enrico II de Rohan and the Tactics of the Byzantine emperor Leo the Wise. in-4 (21 x 14 cm), P.p. (5), 307, (6). Frontispiece with a copper-engraved allegory, signed on the plate by F. Valegio, depicting the Emperor Lion, on the upper side of the plates there is an angel holding the canvas with the title of the Work, the name of the writer and which also describes the noble heraldry visual on the column. Complete work - Three main sections. They are present as a distinctive feature for this rare edition the figures engraved with illustrations also report the details of the tactical dispositions in the military history of the Roman army, as in the illustrated chapters with the system in the engraved schematic figures, joined to the explanation of military tactics and in history from ancient Greece. Text that describes, with illustrated tales of Bisaccioni, life in the armies that followed Julius Caesar, in this very rare and sought-after translation in vocabulary, for the narrative of the Commentarii, in the Roman wars, of France, with ten chapters, from the Succinct of the Civil and Pompeian Wars, to the wars of Alexandria, De bello Africae and the Book with wars in Spain. Written & illustrated in Italian, with the binding and with characters impressed in the precious drafting, with the complete engravings described for all the Plates of the Work. From the narratives on the history of Rome to the Titles with Caesar's command, observations and reflections of the Illustrissimo Conte Bisaccioni are presented, thus titled in the “Civil Senses” and the “Considerations” of the Author, and in the central text with the history in the chapters for the ancient text that continues with the second part of the Work, in the elaborate chapters for the “Military Discipline of the Romans,” from soldiers' ordinances to the construction of fortresses, from the account of assault and siege, to the narrative on the behavior in war of the Roman Princes. The text was thus divided into three titled and illustrated Works, the Author ends his writing with the title “On the Tactics of Leo the Emperor,” inspired and realized Grecian-style around the Captain General of the Armies. Rare and original edition with the particular engravings for the initials, the finials and the headpieces with visual references to figures of ancient allegories, to present to the reader the historical narration of the reading. (As in the drawing on Plate No. 66, a special war machine of the dead that bears the letter “F” at the center – End. Indicating the conclusion of the story with the combats in the Chapter). Leather binding, Coeva, worn but intact corners, on the back is a red plate with gold-impressed characters, indicating in part the Title with the Author of the Work, with five raised ribs. Red-tinted edges. First and only Edition, very rare and refined, internally presents in an excellent state of preservation with clean, numerically complete and intact Plates, no tears or relevant missing parts, traces of invasive marks are absent. The Plates with the Titles were decorated with woodcut finials and initials, including the Initials drawn on the plate for this rare and precious ancient illustrated Work. Physical characteristics: Includes a fine allegorical frontispiece engraved in copper by F. Valegio depicting Leo the Emperor, with the heraldic coat of arms, (Work with the images that have been inserted in sequence for courteous attention, as a visual completion of the presentation).
