Compagnie de Navigation Sud-Atlantique, early to mid-20th century. Collection of maritime ephemera and photographs, comprising paper passenger lists, programs, guides, postcards, and amateur photography. The lot includes passenger lists for the liners Gallia and Lutetia, a concert program for the Massilia dated 1925, and a passenger guide with a coordinating oval luggage tag for the Pasteur. A series of sepia-toned postcards features various French landmarks, labeled for the Service Maritime Postal France-Bresil-Uruguay-Argentine. A specific grid-lined card features two photographs of the ship L'Atlantique at Smith's Houston's Yard, dated August 22, 1936. Multiple black-and-white amateur photographs depict shipboard life and port views. A printed blue anchor device with a red cockerel in a circle reads Cie DE NAVIGATION SUD ATLANTIQUE and LISTE DES PASSAGERS. Postcards bear the printed name Cie de Navigation Sud-Atlantique. One card bears a handwritten ink inscription reading L'ATLANTIQUE TAKEN AT SMITH'S HOUSTON'S YARD SHOWING HER PROPELLER SHAFTS & ONE REMAINING FUNNEL - 22nd AUG. 1936. Dimensions: See Desc.
