Column - Marmi Policromi – Lavorazione a "Corteccia d'Albero" - 1920-1930

Elegant column, made in precious polychrome marbles. Suggestive, beautiful in form and appearance, it stands out for the peculiarity of its finish: the surface has been masterfully hand-worked with a vertical ribbing technique "tree bark" (or rock effect), which gives the stone a sculptural look with a great visual impact. This special texturing contrasts magnificently with the smooth parts, highlighting the rich natural veining, clouded transitions, and shading that range from cream to antique pink, up to touches of gray, orange and ochre. The column is structured in several overlapping sections; the upper capital features an octagonal plane with a ribbed edge, connected to the shaft via an elegant bulged collar polished in warm-toned marble. The Shaft is divided into geometric compartments interrupted by a central glossy ring that breaks the verticality of the rustic finish. The solid octagonal base with multiple levels, characterized by distinctly veined marble in gray and beige tones, ensuring visual and structural stability to the entire work. A true piece of interior jewelry, ideal for displaying marble busts, bronze sculptures, porcelain vases, or large floral elements in high-profile interiors. Divisible into 8 parts and assembled by a metal core. It will be shipped with careful protection and is insured. The column is 94 cm tall; the capitals are 20 cm. NB.
