Columbia, Tennessee. Bank of the United States. 18xx $500. PCGS Currency About New 53. Remainder. No. None. Plate A. An enigmatic item by any account. This $500 Post Note Remainder represents something where reference material and auction records are of limited value in relative terms. An example of a different denomination which shares the same imprint recently sold for $660 in September 2025 and that piece was attributed to "William J. Polk" by the likes of PMG. This example is nonetheless listed as "Non-Genuine" by PCGS Currency upon the label, but to the specialist with an inclination towards research, this lot is certainly one that may prove to be an appealing candidate for further analysis. Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Provenance: From the Caine Collection. Whitman Plate Note.

Estimate:$480
