Collection of Meiji and Taisho Era Aomori Prefecture Japanese Tax Receipts

A collection of Japanese fiscal ephemera pieces, primarily land and rice field tax receipts dating from the late Meiji to early Taisho periods. The documents originate from the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture, specifically Minamitsugaru-gun, Ishikawa-mura. Printed on varying paper stocks including distinctive rose-pink and cream tones, the forms feature traditional grid layouts with hand-brushed ink calligraphy recording payment amounts and taxpayer details. Many receipts bear printed text for the Ishikawa Village Treasurer and prominent vermilion square-seal hanko marks, including the seal of the Ishikawa Village Treasurer. One receipt identifies the treasurer as Iwataro Odagiri. Several documents are dated to Meiji 41 and the early 20th century. Dimensions: 5"W x 7"H Weight: 7 oz.
