Cohoes, New York. 1875 $5 Fr. 403. NB. Charter #1347. PMG Choice Fine 15. A well-circulated survivor that stands distinct among the surviving notes recorded on the National Bank of Cohoes (Charter# 1347) by the National Bank Note Census. This example is nonetheless a fine example for the grade assigned. Ample detail is retained and exemplified by the left and right vignettes known as Columbus in Sight of Land and Introduction of the Old World to the New while the penned signatures Cashier Murray Hubbard and (Vice) President David J. Johnston cut a collective impression that's hard to overlook. In all, this note offers much that can be appreciated and no shortage of attractive traits that are often lost at this grade level. Estimate: $800 - $1,200. Click here for certification details from PMG.
