An antique Hour Lavigne mantel clock from 1930s France This small French mantel clock features an Arc de Triomphe-inspired design, milk glass columns, and a gold-plated solid brass finish. It has a dial with Roman numerals, openwork relief hands, and an alarm function. The Lavigne brand began manufacturing prestigious clocks in 1848. During this period, Charles Hour took over a workshop specializing in the production of complex clock movements and stylish designs. Exquisite craftsmanship; the clock keeps excellent time and the alarm functions perfectly. It feels substantial and solid in the hand, with a satisfying weight. Made in France. Height: 10.1 cm. Base dimensions: 9.8 x 5.5 cm. Dial diameter: 6.3 cm. Weight: 838 g. A stunning, impressive, and beautiful antique French mantel clock. Acquired at an Italian antique exhibition.
