CLEREN, JEAN-PAUL (1940 – 2017) "Osmose" 1990

| CLEREN, JEAN-PAUL (1940–2017), “Osmose” (Osmosis), 1990 Sculpture / stele. Tinted and transparent Plexiglas with a metallic relief inclusion. 32 × 13 × 13 cm. Engraved signature at the base: “Jean-Paul Cleren 23”. The tall rectangular Plexiglas stele “Osmose” explores the harmonious interweaving of two faces, which merge stylistically within the relief of the embedded metal element. Through the interplay of light, shadow, and refraction within the tinted cast block, the sculpture develops a fascinating three-dimensional presence that changes depending on the viewing angle. Good condition consistent with age. There are some minimal abrasions or small chips along the edges of the acrylic glass; however, these do not significantly affect the overall impression of optical depth and the translucent spatial effect.
