Large serving spoon (vegetable/stew spoon) from the Paris-based haute silversmith Christofle. It is the 'Talisman' model created by designer Bernard Yot in 1986, reinterpreting the geometric codes of the Art Deco movement. Christofle square responsibility mark (the 'OC' around the scales, a bee and three stars), with the chess knight centered. This variant of the mark corresponds to the first fabrication edition of the collection in the late 1980s. The 'FRANCE' inscription is struck in full beside the marks under the ladle. Provenance / OriginFabrication: France (historic Christofle factory at Yainville, Haute-Normandie). Origin: Private collection. Condition of the item: Excellent overall. The silvering is brilliant. The genuine Chinese lacquer is completely intact along the entire handle (no chips, no losses, no cracks). Dimensions: Length: 24.5 cm Width of the bowl: about 6 cm Weight: about 152 grams
