Christmas baubles Glaswerkstätten Lauscha: krampus/duivel (6) - Glass

A real curiosity and truly something for the collector are these 'Krampus' Christmas ornaments. Krampus is a local demon from the folklore of the Alpine regions such as Bavaria, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, and the Czech Republic. He is the companion of Saint Nicholas. It is a rare item and, in my view, the first time it’s offered, and for the Christmas ornament collector a real must. The Christmas ornaments are made by Glaswerkstätten Lauscha in Thuringia, Germany. Lauscha is the best-known place where many glassblowers are based who specialize in Christmas ornaments. The size is 6.5 x 6 cm. It is handmade and hand-painted. Shipping within Europe with UPS; outside Europe by mail. This Christmas ornament is a showstopper and has often been the topic of conversation for me when I have it hanging in the Christmas tree. The auction is for 6 Krampus ornaments.
