Chinese porcelain, famille rose dish, c. 1740, Qianlong Period. Finely painted in fencai enamels, with an hexagonal panel, containing an arrangement of a vase of flowers on a stand, before scrolls, a sceptre, and a fan, resting upon a further stand. The frame of the panel, painted in iron red, and having a continuous gilt whorl motif; further embellished with elaborate floral vine. The border with a repeated floral scroll, and scroll motif, which laps over a narrow yellow ground border, painted with leaf scroll, divided by iron red and gilt flower heads. The reverse painted with lingzhi mushrooms in iron red, around a burnt orange, unglazed footrim.
