A fine and complete set of twelve Chinese Export hard-paste porcelain octagonal plates, crafted during the Qianlong period (circa 1755) for the British market. Painted in a rich famille rose enamel palette and gilding, each plate centers a prominent spray of peony, rose, and exotic summer flowers encircled by a gilded spearhead/chain border. The upper rim is prominently hand-painted with the European coat of arms of Burgh quartering Bosville impaling Chambers, set within an elaborate border of gilt leaves, pink shells, and Rococo scrollwork.
