CHINA. Kirin. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1908). Kirin Mint.

Appealing Kirin "Dragon Dollar" with "11" CHINA. Kirin. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), CD (1908). Kirin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Repaired, EF Details. L&M-579; K-573; KM-Y-183C; WS-0541; Wenchao-539 (rarity: ★★★). A TREMENDOUS RARITY that quite likely closed out the minting at Kirin, this Dollar issue features a "11" at its center on the characters side, indicative of a devaluation in that it traded at the rate of 11 Jiao, rather than 10. The noted repair occurs in the form of some smoothing in the fields of the characters side, likely to remove some stray marks. Nevertheless, it presents an important opportunity for an iconic issue from a highly popular mint and province. Estimate: $30,000 - $45,000. Provenance: From the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection. Estimate:$18,000
