An off-metal striking in gold of the contemporary silver Dollar, this "imperial" issue is named for its commemoration of Yuan Shih-kai's brief attempt to restore imperial rule in China in the form of the Hung-hsien era. Though very brief, its numismatic output has long-lasting desirability, with this IMMENSE RARITY at or near the top of the list. Superbly radiant and attractive, it presents tremendous captivating brilliance and luster, all paired with a sharp and exacting strike as well as beautiful burnished toning notes accentuating the devices.
