10 Gold Fen in Excellent PMG 50 Grade CHINA--FOREIGN BANKS. Russo-Asiatic Bank. 10 Gold Fen = 1 Mace, 12.3.1917. P-S481a. S/M#O5-52. PMG About Uncirculated 50. Kuld'sha, Chuguchak & Kashgar. One of the most difficult series to find in issued form. Issued for circulation in the northwestern regions of Xinjiang Province, these notes did not have a large print run due to their relatively large value as gold notes, especially the 10 Gold Fen. A colourful note with ornate dragons within an ornate lathe border. The date is stamped just beneath the upper border, and the note is validated by a hand-signed signature on the lower border. Light handling and circulation signs as expected for grade and devoid of any other distractions. It is an extremely rare note with a total PMG population of just seven notes, and one of two in second finest grade, bested by one in 53. An attractive design and colours highlighted by problem-free paper culminate in an appealing and historically important note destined for an advanced Foreign Bank collection. PMG Comments "Minor Rust." Estimate: $8,000 - $12,000.
