Phenomenally rare uniface obverse specimen for the third series of the Shanghai issue. A quick look at the PMG census shows one fully printed specimen, one uniface obverse colour trial (this one), and one issued note have also been graded. The third series was commissioned after the Russo-Chinese Bank merged with France's Banque du Nord in 1910 and was renamed Russo-Asiatic Bank. The design of the notes remained unchanged from the second series, except for the Bank name and the denomination, which was renamed as Local Currency Dollars.
