Signed by Sheng Xuan Huai. According to Kuhlmann, 17,475 bonds remain outstanding, but 'so far this bond seems to be much rarer than one would expect at an outstanding number of 17,475 bonds'. Scarce. Also includes four scrip certs. This loan was agreed between the Imperial Chinese Government and French syndicates to fund the construction of the railway connecting Zhengding County (Shijiazhuang) and Taiyuan. Provenance: From the Yang Ai Hao Collection. 1903年大清政府正太鐵路5%金公債500法郎及臨時憑證。五張。 盛宣懷簽署。據庫爾曼記載，存世量為17,475張，但「迄今此債券實物似乎遠比存世量17,475張之預期更為罕見」。少見。另包含四張臨時憑證。此借款由大清政府與法國財團協議簽訂，用以資助興建連接正定縣（石家莊）至太原之鐵路。
