CHINA. Copper 50 Cents Mint Sport, Year 32 (1943). Chengdu Mint. PCGS

Intriguing 50 Cents from Year 32 Struck in Copper CHINA. Copper 50 Cents Mint Sport, Year 32 (1943). Chengdu Mint. PCGS MS-62 Brown. cf. K-869X (for official off-metal pattern); cf. KM-Pn203 (same). Though Kann mentions the existence of off-metal trials in copper, this specimen is much more likely the product of mint sport, with a somewhat different planchet nature than other official issues. Regardless, a RARE and intriguing opportunity for this Sun Yat-sen type. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Provenance: From the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection.
