It is 100% handmade, crafted in very high-quality wool over cotton. The wool is exceptionally soft and pleasant to the touch, a characteristic of high-quality Beijing rugs from this era. It needs a cleaning to refresh it and bring out again the intensity and beauty of its colors. It presents two small oxidation spots of approximately 2 cm, somewhat smaller and without severity considering the piece’s age. Please look closely at the photographs, which are part of the description. In a black area there is a small original irregularity from artisanal manufacture, produced during the weaving and dyeing process by master craftsmen. This peculiarity is part of its handmade fabrication and makes the rug even rarer, more unique and special, giving it character and authenticity. A great collectible piece, especially hard to find due to its impressive round XL format of 277 cm in diameter, its age, its Art Deco design and the extraordinary quality and softness of its wool.
