We present an elegant pure silk Beijing Chinese rug, completely handmade, a refined piece of high artisanal quality. Manufactured in China between 1950 and 1960, this rug stands out for its silk-on-silk craftsmanship, a traditional technique that affords elegance, delicacy, and a finish of superior artisanal level. Its floral design is typical of Beijing carpets, with balanced ornamental compositions and floral motifs distributed harmoniously over a circular field, creating a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic. The rug features a fine, light construction characteristic of high-quality silk pieces, with a flexible fall and a soft touch that enhance its decorative and exclusive appearance. It is in very good condition for its age, correctly preserving both the silk and the overall structure. It shows normal wear consistent with the passage of time and the age of the piece.
