CHINA 1925 (Sep 12) Shanghai to Tokyo via Korea cover bearing Shanghai 3c on 4c tied 'Shanghai' c.d.s, carried on the De Pinedo pioneer flight, with 'First Airmail China-Japan' boxed cachet in violet. The mail was lost in Kagoshima and not recovered until March 1926; this is one of just 52 of those. There is no b/stamp and the cachet is a trifle faint but the cover is very fine, clean and is an important rarity.
