This is a two-LP original cast recording of the musical Children of Eden, featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by John Caird. The set was released by London Records in 1991 and features the original London cast including Ken Page, Martin Smith, and Shezwae Powell. The recording was conducted at Abbey Road Studios, London, with the sound recording copyright held by FFRR Records Ltd. The set consists of two 12-inch black vinyl discs at 33 1/3 RPM in stereo. The outer sleeve is a gatefold design featuring production photography by Michael Le Poer Trench and design by Tangerine for McCabe Assoc. The front cover bears a red circular sticker identifying the set. The back cover displays the London Records logo, catalog number 828 234.1, barcode 042282823410, and rights society marks BIEM STEMRA. Small white stickers on the back cover and center labels indicate the set was manufactured in the United Kingdom. Distribution marks for Barclay in France and Metronome Music GmbH in Germany are also present. A specialty retailer sticker from Footlight Records is located on the upper left of the back cover.
