Paris, July 20, 1779. 2 pages in-8° : "I received this morning, Madame, the memoir you took the trouble to send me, and as I am going to VERSAILLES the day after tomorrow, I preferred to deliver it myself... I gave M. de MAUREPAS the letter you wrote him, as I had promised. He seemed touched by your situation: but he found no way to come to your rescue. If I had a better answer to give to M. le Comte de MORAS, I would have seen him with more pleasure...".
