Chair (2) - Set of two French Provincial Style Wrought...

This is a beautiful pair of Italian Mid-Century Modern style white wrought iron garden armchairs. They feature a distinctive elegant fan or peacock-tail backrest with sweeping ornamental curls and scrolling loop details. The flowing, architectural armrests slope gracefully forward, matching the curvilinear, cabriole-inspired slender legs. The open-slat slatted metal seats follow a contoured frame, showcasing the classic artisan ironwork popularized in the 1950s and 1960s. The structural slats on the seating surface show signs of age-related wear, flexing, or baseline exposure common to open-wire outdoor furniture. In their current bare state, the metal slats lack optimal ergonomic support and present a firm, unyielding surface that compromises seating comfort.
