Certina - Small Seconds - No reserve price - 7004 161 - Men - 1950-1959

**Certina Small Seconds – Ref. 7004 161 – Cal. 28-10 – Textured Grey Dial – circa 1960s** Vintage Certina mechanical dress watch from the 1960s, reference **7004 161**, featuring a highly attractive textured grey dial, applied gold-tone hour markers, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and a distinctive engraved gold-tone bezel. The dial has a fine textured finish that changes subtly depending on the light. It is complemented by applied gold-tone baton markers, stronger triple markers at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock, slim gold-tone hands and an elegant small-seconds display at 6. One of the most distinctive visual features of this example is the finely decorated bezel, with an engraved diagonal pattern that gives the watch considerably more character than a conventional smooth-bezel dress watch. Inside is the **Certina calibre 28-10**, a Swiss-made, 17-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement. The movement is correctly signed **CERTINA 28-10 – 17 JEWELS – SWISS** and is shown in detail in the photographs. The watch is **fully operational and functioning perfectly**. **Specifications** Brand: Certina Model: Small Seconds Reference: 7004 161 Serial number: 5314300 Period: circa 1960s Movement: Mechanical hand-wound Calibre: Certina 28-10 Jewels: 17 Functions: Hours, minutes and subsidiary seconds Dial: Textured grey Hour markers: Applied gold-tone indices Case: Gold-tone / gold-plated Caseback: Stainless steel Case diameter: Approx. 34.0 mm excluding crown Case diameter including crown: Approx. 35.2 mm Crystal: Domed acrylic Strap: Black leather Buckle: Gold-tone Original box: No Original papers: No Water resistance: Not tested **Condition** The watch presents with an attractive vintage appearance. The textured grey dial retains strong visual character, with clearly visible Certina branding, applied hour markers and subsidiary seconds display. Natural age-related patina and surface marks are visible, consistent with the age of the watch. The decorative bezel remains particularly attractive and retains its distinctive engraved pattern. The gold-tone case shows normal signs of age and use, including some wear to the plating around the case edges, lugs and crown. The domed crystal shows light age-related marks. The Certina calibre 28-10 movement is cleanly presented, correctly signed and **functions perfectly**. The watch is fitted with a black leather strap and gold-tone buckle, which complements the grey and gold colour combination very well. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and provide the best representation of the watch and its cosmetic condition. As with any vintage watch, water resistance has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed. The watch will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance.
