Certina Club 2000 – Swiss Mechanical Movement – Chrome Plated Case – 1960-1969 A classic vintage Certina Club 2000 wristwatch from the 1960s, featuring the clean, understated design that defined Swiss everyday watches of the period. The watch presents an attractive silver/champagne dial with a subtle sunburst finish, elongated applied baton hour markers and slim dark hands. The minimalist two-hand configuration gives the watch an elegant and balanced appearance, while the distinctive Certina emblem and Club 2000 signature add character and period authenticity. Powered by a Swiss mechanical hand-wound Certina movement, this watch represents the robust and reliable mechanical watchmaking for which Certina became particularly well known during the mid-20th century. Story & Heritage Certina is one of Switzerland’s historic watch manufacturers, with origins dating back to 1888, when the company that would later become Certina was established in Grenchen, Switzerland. Over the following decades, the brand developed a reputation for robust, reliable mechanical watches and solid Swiss engineering. The Club 2000 belongs to an era when Certina combined technical reliability with increasingly modern case and dial designs. Its streamlined appearance, large 36 mm case for the period and minimalist two-hand layout reflect the transition toward the cleaner aesthetics that would become increasingly prominent at the end of the 1960s and into the following decade. The watch's simple architecture allows the silver sunburst dial and elongated indexes to take centre stage, creating a restrained vintage aesthetic that remains highly wearable today. A characterful vintage Certina for collectors of traditional Swiss mechanical watches and enthusiasts of authentic mid-century design. Internal Reference Number - FLO-147
